The Iconic Off-Road Series Winch offers a very capable Winch in an attractive package. It is designed for the off-roader looking for both quality and reliability at an affordable price. It features a 12-volt, high-performance, series-wound motor and 3-stage planetary gear set for power, efficiency, and fast line speeds. The series-wound motor pulls less amperage and runs cooler. The motors for the Off-Road Series W inches have as much as 10% more horsepower than other brand (size-to-size). That translates to more power from the motor and less strain on the gearing. These w inches also feature an oversized clutch lever that is easy to operate, even while wearing bulky gloves.The Off-Road Series Winch allows for multiple control box mounting options including: vertical over the tie bar, horizontal over the tie bar, and horizontal over the motor. These options are really handy in tight fit or hidden Winch installations.To ensure safety, the Off-Road Winch has fully-independent, automatic braking. These w inches have been tested and boast an IP68 rating, which means they are more capable of keeping out the elements than IP67-rated w inches. IP68-rated w inches still work while submerged in water up to four feet and they stand up to pressurized water, such as car washes. The Iconic Off-road Winch includes both wired and wireless remote controls, with the wireless controller featuring a range of over 200 feet. The Off-Road Series Winch is available in either a 12,500-lb line pull or a 9,500-lb line pull version, with each including either a wire or synthetic rope.
